If you are planning a wedding at our venue, we are sure to go over all of these important details with you upon booking. So, which questions do you need to ask your venue when planning a wedding? Keep reading to find out!

What is your availability for our wedding date?

This may seem obvious but, this is the absolute first question to asking upon inquiring with any venue. They might be available for your exact date or will be able to offer other dates close to your first option. Often, weekdays are less of an expense than weekends so be sure to consider this when deciding your date. If this is a venue you have your heart set on, you might wait to be informed about their available options before choosing a date. Many venues will require venue rental for more than one day to account for the rehearsal, set up, and cleaning process.

If you are set on a specific day, however, some locations will be able to notify you if there is a cancellation so it is worth asking the question. Knowing the availability will determine how you book the rest of your vendors and when you send your invitations. Be sure to ask about the cancellation or rescheduling policy when discussing wedding dates. That way, you will be fully prepared for every scenario.

Do you have preferred wedding vendors?

Ask about the venue’s favorite vendors! Once you have booked your dream location, as them about the best professionals for their specific venue. Here at White Star, we work with a list of preferred and local wedding vendors that are familiar with our space. Your venue will be able to provide you with vendor contact information to get started! They might even bring up vendors that you had not considered previously.

If you want an intimate ceremony but still want to party with all of your family and friends, you might host a grand reception. Then, you can keep the ceremony to just you and your future spouse with a few family members at an offsite location.

Do you offer any rentals?

At our venue, you won’t need to rent out everything! Ask your venue if they offer any included rentals. We are sure to include tables, chairs, and a custom round bar so you have more room in your budget for other decor aspects. Plus, these essentials are already at the venue so there will not be a need to coordinate delivery.
