When you are celebrating your wedding with us, make a full weekend of exciting activities in the Smokies. Today we are sharing our top reasons to get married near the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee!
Great Smoky Mountains National Park
If you are a fan of outdoor adventure and hiking, the Smoky Mountains National Park is the place to be. Plan a local hike with your guests to relax and take in the view of nature before the wedding. If you are planning a fall wedding, be prepared for the colorful leaves! No matter the season, the national park is full of life. The park is even free to enter. Chat with your photographer about scheduling an extra photo session to take more couple photos at the park after the wedding. This will require a special use permit but is well worth it! Putting back on your wedding clothes and exploring the Great Smoky Mountains can make for some of the best images. If you want more time to enjoy the mountain view, why not book a luxury cabin near the park for your honeymoon?
Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg
For your rehearsal dinner, you will find the most options within Pigeon Forge. This is also where the majority of classic tourist spots like Dollywood are located. If your guests are traveling to your wedding, suggest they stay within Pigeon Forge or the quaint mountain town of Gatlinburg. From luxurious hotels, private Airbnbs to cabins, there are many accommodation options to consider depending on your guests count and preference. Take a day trip to one of the local wine vineyards or distilleries and bring back some souvenirs to feature at your wedding bar. Gatlinburg is meant for those that adore historical charm and want to immerse themselves in the mountains. From sweet small businesses, immersive tours, and more mountain attractions, there is something for everyone to enjoy!
