Timing

When should your wedding ceremony be? Thankfully with an indoor wedding, you don’t necessarily have to worry about weather or natural lighting. If your venue is filled with spacious windows like ours, you might choose a time of day that is sunny without being too harsh!

Couples often designate a large amount of time for their ceremony, but we have a secret for you. Wedding ceremonies are typically only 30 minutes to an hour. Work with your wedding planner to determine the timing that is best for you. The ceremony timing should cover everything from guests being seated, to the wedding processional, classic ceremony, and recessional. You might add a few extra minutes to snap some photos after saying “I do” while your guests are still all in the same spot!

The Decor Options Are Endless

As we mentioned before, an indoor wedding space protects you from the elements! So, go for those delicate florals or intricate lighting displays. Or, perhaps you keep it minimal. The right indoor wedding venue will speak for itself. Sometimes, choosing simple decor can not only save you money but make even more of a visual statement. Just look at the stunning brick walls with boho florals from an intimate ceremony below!

Pro wedding planning tip: choose wedding decor for your ceremony that you can reuse. Since your wedding ceremony is the shortest portion of your wedding, use that decor in other aspects of your day! Speak with your florist, wedding planner, and rentals vendor to come up with ideas that work best for your needs and style. Connect with your photographer to determine how long to leave your ceremony decor in place for photos. You might leave it as is for the entire evening and reuse it as a photo booth! The options are really endless.

Planning Your Layout

Let’s talk about the layout while we are here. An indoor space most likely has a more flat and even surface to work with. Think of a grassy field versus wooden floors. You also don’t have to consider the elements when it comes to your rentals. This means you can use those cute boho rugs and vintage seating without stress about stains or damage! Plan your layout according to your indoor venue’s capacity and recommendations. We are always here to support our clients and offer suggestions for ceremony layouts at our venue. We can offer insight into locations for power, best lighting, and space for vendors to deliver items.
