We have been hosting the cutest kids’ birthday parties here at White Star Station. Our indoor venue in Tennessee is made for so many events, not just weddings! We love the different themes and creativity from each birthday party. The most recent theme? Unicorns! Rainbow colors, sparkles, a bounce house, and a balloon arch are just a few of the features from this fun day. Good news, we are sharing all of the details with you today. Table Decor
The kids’ table decor included disposable plates and napkins in the shape of unicorns and clouds! This makes easy clean up and matching the theme was a breeze. Gold flatware and pastel pink glassware decorated the remaining portions of the table. The metallic and pastel colors are perfect for this design. Of course, we can’t forget about the balloons and favors! Cute party hats and fairy wands were placed at each place setting for the guests.
One part we always recommend including at a kids birthday is a table for the adults! Most of the time, a group parents and guardians will also be attending the event. This party included a simple table with a linen to match the kids’ table and elegant gold rimmed place settings. The contrast of our venue’s brick walls and dreamy drapery highlighted these designs!
Activities
Every good event needs strong programming! This unicorn birthday party included an abundance of fun activities. Utilize one or all of these ideas for your next birthday party vision.
Dress Up
An assortment of rainbow dresses with tutus were available for each guest. With the fairy wands, this group had so much fun dressing up for this event. A themed party also needs themed attire!
Unicorn Painting
If you are a fan of arts and crafts, how about painting as a birthday party activity? Each guest was able to paint a unicorn art piece on a small canvas to take home. Here are the supplies you will need for this activity:

- Glitter
- Paint brushes
- Containers for water
Bounce Castle
This was the crowd favorite for this birthday party! You don’t need to be outdoors for a bounce castle. This unicorn themed bounce castle was a blast. Tip: add your own decor to match your theme exactly if specific rentals are not available! This was originally a plain castle bounce house.
Balloon Arch
This balloon arch was the focal point of the event! A rainbow unicorn birthday party calls for a feature like this! A colorful pastel rainbow arch with layered tassels and unicorn cut outs was a stunning backdrop for photos. The final details to the design included a paper cut out for with the birthday kid’s name and the cake table.
Unicorn Cake and Cookies
Onto the desserts! The classic unicorn cake was a must for this party. Since the guest count included a small group, a one tiered cake and cookies were just the right amount of sweets.
